It had been threatening rain all that day. It was gray and gloomy when I left my house. My heart was sinking…thinking I would have to postpone the session, or that she wouldn’t get that beautiful sunset shoot that she wanted. As I was driving to their condo in Orange Beach along Perdido Key Drive, the sun burst thru the clouds. It was sunny!!!! I was ecstatic!!
When Melissa stepped off the elevator and gave me a huge hug, I felt like I had met an old friend. The rest of the evening we spent in the surf and laughing. It’s evident how much fun we had in every photo 🙂 This place holds a lot of memories for this family. It was so special to be able to document their time there.
That night, my husband, my kids and his parents were all waiting for me to get home from my session. I was driving back home, windows down, the Gulf to my right, sun setting behind me, sand all over my legs, music up…thinking how incredibly blessed I am that THIS was my commute home. No traffic. No stoplights. Just the beach, my camera in the passenger seat and ME.
Leigh - Love this!! 🙂 those photos are so sweet & what great memories for this family!! we are truly blessed !!
