A couple weeks ago, Brad called me to enlist my help. He was planning on proposing to his girlfriend and wanted to capture every moment “because”, he told me, “that’s what she has always told me she wanted, so I’d like to make it special for her.” I KNOW. SO. SWEET, RIGHT??!! There were just a few catches. I had never met them and only had a heads up on the outfits (a blue shirt for him and a flowery outfit for her) AND had to make it so Kristan wouldn’t or couldn’t see me- while capturing every moment of the impending proposal. So, I brought my family for decoys…just a “Mom with a camera” as far as anyone knew. I spotted them walking down the boardwalk (I won’t tell you how far I was, but it was FAR) and prayed that I was following the right couple. Blue shirt? Check. Flowery dress? Check. Heart pounding? CHECK. The sun was setting, the sky was glowing and the moment the sailboat passed by…Brad got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
SHE SAID YES!!!
The moment Brad pointed me out to her (you know, the girl now plopped in the sand pointing my camera at you) she was so surprised. Seriously made me smile so ridiculously. I was so ecstatic for them. Hugs, congratulations and more hugs & congrats from my husband and kids…followed by an impromptu engagement session. Loved every minute of this and so thrilled to give you these memories.
Congratulations, Brad & Kristan!!
