That commanding tower that is the Pensacola Lighthouse is a landmark for sure. Locals and visitors alike flock here every day to climb the 177 (steep) steps to be rewarded at the top with vistas of clear blue water that stretch all the way to Pensacola Beach. I’ve done the climb, but you should know that there is so much more to explore. I revisited my archives and was reminded how much I love to stroll the grounds around the Lighthouse. Here’s what it looks like off the beaten path.
